The behaviour of our boxers both in and outside the gym directly reflects on this club and the people involved with it and it is therefore imperative that everyone involved with this club represents us in a positive manner.
⦁ Arrive for training in good time to prepare thoroughly.
⦁ Turn up with appropriate kit for the activity ( wraps, gum shield etc ).
⦁ Always warm up and cool down properly.
⦁ Respect the gym. Leave things as you found them. This includes not taking things that are not yours.
⦁ Respect other people. Don’t mess with other people’s things. Don’t interfere with their workout. Treat them as you wish to be treated.
⦁ Understand that there will be no sparring without headgear, mouthpiece and supervision.
⦁ Never talk over the coaches and others.
⦁ Co-operate with the coach, team-mates and opponents.
⦁ Never argue with officials and / or the coach.
⦁ Behave responsibly when you are here to train. The gym is not a playground.
⦁ Not use foul or abusive language.
⦁ Learn and play by the rules .
⦁ Be a good sport – Win with modesty, lose with dignity.
⦁ Think about improving your skills after training and competition.
⦁ Inform the coach of any injury as soon as possible.
⦁ Inform the coach if you need to leave the site early.
⦁ Thank officials and opponents after competition.
⦁ Remember that the people running the gym are volunteers. They don’t have to be here. Try to do what you can to make their job easier.
⦁ Do what is right! You know the difference between right and wrong. If you don’t, ask the coach.
⦁ Think first! Before you do anything, ask yourself this question – ‘Will what I’m about to do make the gym look good?’
